Wildflower seeds are some of the best plants to include in a seed ball mix. They don't require extra water and fertilizer, and will germinate when conditions are right. Including a good mix of native wildflowers specific to your region is the best way to ensure that your guerilla gardening or efforts to make your own garden a little more meadow-like will be a success. Here are some wildflower seeds to include if you are making seed balls or sowing wildflower seeds in the Northwest United States:

  • Baby Blue Eyes (Nemophilia menziesii)
  • Black Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta)
  • Blue Flax (Linum perenne)
  • Scarlet Flax (Linum rubrum)
  • California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica)
  • Candytuft (Iberis sempervirens)
  • Godetia (Clarkia amoena)
  • Cornflower (Centaurea cyanus)
  • Sweet William (Dianthus barbatus)
  • Lanceleaf Coreopsis (Coreopsis lanceolata)
  • None-So-Pretty (Silene armeria)
  • Perennial Gaillardia (Gaillardia grandiflora)
  • Chinese Houses (Collinsia heterophylla)
  • Siberian Wallflower (Cheiranthus allionii)
