I recently reviewed the book Building Soils Naturally: Innovative Methods for Organic Gardening, and I heartily recommend it for anyone who ever decides to pick up a shovel or trowel and grow something. If you learn how to keep your soil healthy, you will grow a healthy productive garden. It's really that simple!
A few things I didn't mention outright in the review:
- If you order the book before August 7th, the author, Phil Nauta, will donate his proceeds of the sales to a wonderful non-profit organization called The Dinner Garden. If you're not familiar with The Dinner Garden, their mission is to help feed families by shipping free seeds to anyone in the U.S. who needs them.
- On his website, Nauta also has a couple of freebies for those who purchase the book, including access to over 4 hours of gardening videos he's produced, as well as free access to part of his online gardening course (only if you order by 8/7, though!)
- You can follow author Phil Nauta on Twitter and Facebook as well.
