It's that time of year again. My big black enamel canning pot has taken up permanent residence on my stove, and jars, lids, and rings are lined up on the counter, ready for me to fill them with tomatoes or pickles at a moment's notice.
I thought I'd do a little write up about preserving, but then I realized something. I'm part of a huge, awesome team of experts here at About.com. I bet at least a few of them have written about preserving the bounty from the garden, CSA, or farmer's market. And my fellow Guides have not disappointed me. Below, I've listed some of the best pickling advice and recipes from my fellow Guides. Enjoy!
