I love houseplants, as I mentioned in my previous post, so I can't even tell you how excited I am to see that we now have a houseplant expert on board here at About. I'm looking forward to learning a lot from Houseplants guide Jon VanZile. He's already got plenty of great information up on his site, including articles about:
Now hopefully I'll learn how to stop killing every African violet that makes its way into my house!

Thanks for the nod! Africa violets lived in fear of our house for a long time, but hopefully we’re a much friendlier environment now. And I loved your blog post on organic gardening inside — I’ve often wondered the same thing. People who are meticulous outside think nothing of dumping chemicals INSIDE their homes.

I have a weakness for African violets. They’re just so cheerful and pretty. Unfortunately for them, coming home with me seems to seal their fate: ending up in the compost pile.
I’m doing okay with succulents, though!
