Great picture!
Thanks Kate
I don’t think I know what peonies are. They must be sweet with all the ants.
This is beautiful!
What childhood memories you’ve evoked!! We had a whole row of the most lovely peonies — deliberately set away from the house to entice the ants to stay outside and not move in!
It worked, too. As long as we had those peonies, we never had ants in the kitchen or rest of the house. And considering our farm house was over a 100 years old, that’s saying something!
Our peonies were always teeming with ants too!
YIKES!
Try to solve the guessing game on my Wordless Wednesday!
I give up… how do you pronounce “peonies”?
Hi, Colleen -
Beautiful shot!
I was lured to your blog from “The Writing Journey” … your title intrigued me since I was just outdoors viewing my own collection of ants on peonies! A sure sign that June is near.
