Tea for the Garden

Saturday May 17, 2008
Compost tea is a treat for the garden. Not only is it easily used by garden plants, but it provides plenty of food for soil microbes, who are, undoubtedly, the organic gardener's best friends. It can be used to water plants at soil level, where the nutrients can be absorbed by the roots. However, it also works great as a foliar feed. All you have to do is strain it well and add it to a spray bottle. Give your plants a good misting, and they'll love you for it.

But how do you make compost tea? About Small Farm Guide Tamara Lujan tells us how in her article "Compost Tea - A Good Brew for the Garden."
