Get Involved in the About.com Organic Gardening Community!
Most of us learn about gardening from other gardeners. Garden blogs are today's equivalent of those friendly chats over the garden gate. This site is a brand-new part About.com, and as your Guide to Organic Gardening, I want to make this a thriving, helpful community of organic gardeners, both experienced and amateur. We learn best when we learn from each other!
With that in mind, I am opening up several ways for gardeners and garden bloggers to get involved in our About.com Organic Gardening community:
- Garden Photo of the Week: This feature will run every Friday. I'll choose one reader photo and post it every Friday. To enter a photo, please email a JPEG photo to organicgardening.guide@about.com anytime during the week. In the body of your email, please include your name, location, zone, and a description of your photo. If you are a garden blogger, please include a link to your blog as well.
- Reader Tip of the Week: Know a great organic method of treating a pest or disease problem? Maybe you have the secret to growing great tomatoes, or ideas to prolong the gardening season. Send your tips to organicgardening.guide@about.com. Include your tip, your name, location, and zone, and a link to your blog or website if applicable. This feature will run every Wednesday.
- Organic Gardening in the Blogosphere: Have you read (or written) a great post related to organic gardening in the last week? Send a link to me, and I'll post it in a roundup of great OG links from the blogosphere each Sunday. I'll need to have your links by noon on Saturday.
So, get involved! Let's make this a place where we can learn from each other, admire one another's gardens, and have fun.
